Pensacola Apartment Offers Entirely Virtual Leasing Experience

Inspire Apartments Prioritizes Resident Safety in Post-Covid Times

PENSACOLA, Fla. (July 28, 2020) -- In the face of the coronavirus pandemic, one of the area’s newest apartment communities is working to bring as much comfort and safety as possible to their future residents in a post-COVID world.

Inspire Apartments, located across from the Navy Federal Credit Union Campus on West Nine Mile Road, has launched a new website and adapted their ongoing construction to integrate new safety measures into the development. These new germ-avoiding features include everything from air filtration devices to plexiglass partitions in amenity spaces.

“At the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, we were fortunate to be at a point in the construction process that allowed us to pivot and adapt to the changing environment,” said Dennis Pemberton, Executive Managing Director of Inspired Communities of Florida.

One such adaptation was creating an entirely virtual leasing experience for Inspire Apartments. In the last few months, the staff of Inspire has worked to make their website more available for an entirely virtual experience, by creating a one-stop-shop for prospective residents. Traditionally, one would have to be onsite to get a real feel for the apartment. Thanks to their newly updated website, residents can complete the entire leasing process from the comfort of their own home, and many have already secured their new apartment home using these tools.

"With virtual tours and online applications, prospective residents have the added convenience of remote decision making,” said Inspire Property Manager Allison Buckley. “They can virtually walk through 3D renderings of the apartment home, view our common areas and amenities, and even sign the lease, all without stepping foot outside of their home."

With the first residents set to arrive in January 2021, the Inspire team decided to look more closely at their development to find ways they can create an even safer environment for their future residents.

“Having several months before our first residents arrive gave us the ability to incorporate technology and equipment that will provide a more sanitary environment for our prospective residents,” said Pemberton. “We are also instituting new operational procedures to mitigate the spread of the virus and protect our residents, to the greatest extent possible.”

The added safety measures will be found in almost every area of the community, including the three-story fitness center. This area will have plexiglass partitions around the cardio equipment and directional signs that will allow for better social distancing.

The Inspire team also plans to hire additional staff dedicated to sanitizing the fitness center and other amenity spaces as often as possible. Another exciting amenity that has grown from these efforts is a concierge-style fitness program where residents will be able to schedule time for rowing machines, spin bikes and other equipment to be delivered to their apartment home so that they can exercise in the comfort of their own home.

The Inspire team will also install more than 70 hand sanitizing stations throughout the community to make it especially easy for residents to take proper precautions. In the common spaces, air purifying devices, which have been shown to destroy viruses, mold and bacteria in the air, will be in use. Each building will also be equipped with a portable disinfectant air fogger for additional cleansing where needed, and on regular daily intervals.

In the amenity spaces, all furniture has been designed to incorporate social distancing protocols, including movable plexiglass partitions that will allow residents to work in a public space while taking the necessary safety precautions. Residents can also expect an entirely touchless experience in all restrooms in the amenity areas.

“The truth is… we don’t know how long this virus will be a threat. Therefore, we believe it is our duty to use the time we have to find a way to give our future residents as much peace of mind as possible,” said Pemberton. “We all have to worry when we are out in public, but we wouldn’t be living up to our name or our goals for this community if we didn’t do our best to diminish that worry at Inspire.”
